Earnley Butterfly, Birds & Beasts

This morning Lloyd, Ffion & I went to Earnley Butterfly farm.  The butterflies were beautiful.

Very prettyNot sure about the manky fruit tho !

EatingThere were all sorts of different coloured ones. One landed on Lloyd’s hand

Fi's ButterflyIt is surprising how battered some of their wings are.

PrettyAfter seeing the butterflies, we went next door to the birds. This was a massive walk in area with lots of small parrots and other birds in of various colours.

CheekyThis particular one was very cheeky and came over to eat my sandal,then went over and started tearing strips off  Lloyds!!!

He then flew up and sat on my camera strap :0)

parrot02He was quite happy biting at the buttons and my thumb!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERACameraFihandAfter putting him on a perch, we went to get an ice cream for Fi and a cuppa for ourselves.

IcecreamHelloOutside there were loads of Tortoises, I never knew there were so many different breeds of them.

Let me out!This one was trying to escape..lol Some were tiny and some were so BIG we had to step over them!

BIGFfion enjoyed feeding the different breeds of goats.

Fi and GoatThis one pulled off a chunk of the other ones malting coat and ate it causing everyone to giggle.

Locking hornsThen two of them locked horns and started fighting…

BooThis little chappy was a pretty colour and seemed pleased to see us.

CleoCleo the parrot kept saying ‘Hello Chleo’ and ‘Goodbye’ when we left.

LadybirdEven this little ladybird was enjoying the warmth.

Lloyd & FiIt was a deceptively bit place and even had a museum at the back which brought back some memories with the old toys and record decks etc.
