Earnley Butterfly, Birds & Beasts
This morning Lloyd, Ffion & I went to Earnley Butterfly farm. The butterflies were beautiful.
Not sure about the manky fruit tho !
There were all sorts of different coloured ones. One landed on Lloyd’s hand
It is surprising how battered some of their wings are.
After seeing the butterflies, we went next door to the birds. This was a massive walk in area with lots of small parrots and other birds in of various colours.
This particular one was very cheeky and came over to eat my sandal, then went over and started tearing strips off Lloyds!!!
He then flew up and sat on my camera strap :0)
He was quite happy biting at the buttons and my thumb!

After putting him on a perch, we went to get an ice cream for Fi and a cuppa for ourselves.

Outside there were loads of Tortoises, I never knew there were so many different breeds of them.
This one was trying to escape..lol Some were tiny and some were so BIG we had to step over them!
Ffion enjoyed feeding the different breeds of goats.
This one pulled off a chunk of the other ones malting coat and ate it causing everyone to giggle.
Then two of them locked horns and started fighting…
This little chappy was a pretty colour and seemed pleased to see us.
Cleo the parrot kept saying ‘Hello Chleo’ and ‘Goodbye’ when we left.
Even this little ladybird was enjoying the warmth.
It was a deceptively bit place and even had a museum at the back which brought back some memories with the old toys and record decks etc.
